This really depends on where they live what grade they are in and what type of school they are in. Generally the younger children get home between 12:30-1:30, but as late at 2:00 older children are about the same but it is not uncommon for them to stay until 3:00. It also depends on the day they may get out on different times on different days. My daughter who was in the American equivalent of 1st grade when we left got out at between 12 and 1. But always went to school at 8:00.
German children typically finish school between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. However, the exact time can vary depending on the school and type of program they are enrolled in.
