All day.
On the day of the general election. IR
Tuesday night, Nov 4th
Nov. 4, 2008
This year (2016), it is the same day as the Presidential elections, Nov.8th.
In the US, the next presidential election will be held on November 6, 2012. Presidential elections are always held on the first Tuesday in November unless Nov. 1 is a Tuesday, in which case the election is pushed back a week to Nov. 8.
Voting for presidential elections occurs on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The first Monday in November this year is Nov 5th which means that voting will occur on Nov 6th. That will (hopefully) be the end of the 2012 presidential elections.
Usually the results are accurately broadcast at 10, 11, 12pm on Nov 4th, but considering how large and close this election is, I expect it to be a long process. I'll bet it will be Nov 5th before we hear any solid predictions and probably a month because of the inevitable lawsuits before we hear the official ruling.
2012. The last election was in 2006 and the current president will serve only one 6 year term.
You mean the US presidential election on Nov 4? If we could tell that, we'd probably rather punt for the lottery numbers! However, if you mean who is winning in the polls as we count down to the election on Nov 4, then go here: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html
