It can happen at any time. Though its visibility depends on the observers location.
It can happen at any time of day - while the Sun is above the horizon, of course, otherwise you won't see a solar eclipse.
YES . THE NEXT TIME THERE IS A SOLOR ECLIPSE ALL ELECTRONICS ON EARTH WILL CRASH.!!!!! no! only solar winds/storms affect electronics
Solar eclipse happens when shadow of moon falls on sun. Solar eclipse cannot happen on full moon day because on full moon day earth is in between Sun and Moon and hence moon cannot cast shadow on sun.
A solar eclipse happens during the day because it occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, casting its shadow on Earth's surface. The Moon blocks the sunlight, causing a temporary darkness on Earth known as the eclipse. However, not everyone on Earth experiences a solar eclipse during the day as the eclipse's visibility depends on the viewer's location.
Lunar eclipses can be observed only during the night and only when the moon is far from the sun. Solar eclipses can be observed only during the day and only when the moon is near the sun. it occurs in the day time!sophie griffith-lucas occurs it!

a solar eclipse
No. It causes and eclipse, so it is darker, but not actually night time. Like on Earth, night on the moon is when the a part of the Moon is not facing the Sun. A solar eclipse on Earth, which is caused by the Moon casting a shadow on Earth, causes darkness, but not night time. A solar eclipse can only happen during day time.
According to information from Kosmos Himmelsjahr 2013:There is an anular solar eclipse on 9/10 May.There is a penumbra lunar eclipse on 25 May (those are hardly visible at all). There is another penumbra lunar eclipse on 18/19 October. There is a total solar eclipse on 3 November.

because the moon's orbit is shorter compared to earth. there is a solar eclipse but that occurs like finding gold, they don't happen everyday. the only time, anyways, a solar eclipse occurs is only when the moon is in between the sun and earth( if you don't understand, think about it as a new moon during the day, not at night)

That is NOT the case. A solar eclipse has to happen DURING the day time but from a particular location on Earth the eclipse may be seen as the Sun is rising or setting (in other words at any time of the day).Note, while a solar eclipse is not constrained to happening at the MIDDLE of the day it has to happen DURING daytime because the clipse is caused by the Moon's shadow, so the Moon has to be between the Earth and the day time Sun for this to happen.
I looked it up and found that it will be on janurary 4, 2011
