it occurs when cells need energy, sotrage molecules like glycogen are rapidly broken down from being a polysaccharide to its monomer units which under go reactions once transported to the cells requiring energy and broken down to RELEASE its energy.

Mitochondria is ONLY involved in later STAGES of aerobic cellular respiration, not all of it.

In which organelle does aerobic cellular respiration occur?

Aerobic cellular respiration occurs in the mitochondria of the cell. This process involves breaking down glucose to produce ATP, which is the main energy source for the cell.

Does respiration occur in plant or animal?

In both. In plants they use photosynthesis during the day and at night they use cellular respiration because there is no sun to produce the energy needed with photosynthesis. In animals they only use cellular respiration.

What is the cellular structure where cellular respiration occur?

Cellular respiration (aka, aerobic respiration) takes place in the mitochondria (singular is mitochondrion).

Where does respiration occur at in the cell?

Cellular respiration occurs in the mitochondria.

What organell does cellular respiration occur?

Cellular respiration occurs most often in the mitochondria of the cell.

Where does cellular respiration occur and in what organelle?

Cellular respiration starts in the cytoplasm of the cell, and then enters the mitochondria.

Does respiration occur at night?

Yes, of course =D. Cellular respiration must take place at all times in order to maintain functionality within a cell.

What organella performs cellular respiration?

the initial part of cellular respiration, that is glycolysis, occur in cytoplasm. the remaining part of cellular respiration takes place in mitochondria.
