There was no character named Ramses in the 1999 remake of The Mummy. Arnold Vosloo played the mummy, Imhotep, and Aharon Ipale played Pharaoh Seti I. The two repeated their roles in The Mummy Returns (2001). In the 1932 original, the Pharaoh, not identified by name, was played by James Crane and the mummy, again Imhotep, by Boris Karloff. Christopher Lee played the mummy, this time called Kharis, in Hammer Studios' 1959 remake. The only Pharaoh Ramses to appear in a film was Ramses II, played by Yul Brynner in The Ten Commandments.
