* There is no set time for the Bride and Groom to dance regarding Westernized weddings. The 'First Dance' by the Bride and Groom is after the meal at the reception and when all plates have been cleared and all the toasts have been made and the DJ or band leader announces that he is going to play the first dance. The Bride and Groom have the first dance together; then the bride dances with her father and then her father-in-law; the groom dances with his own mother and then his new mother-in-law.
