Best Answer

People tend to say "How are you" for something to say but really don't want to know how you are actually doing - so it is best to just say "fine and you". If it is someone that you can talk to then you can elaborate if you like.

* It depends. While honesty is always the best policy not everyone needs to know about health issues or problems. Most often the best answer is something along the lines of, " I'm doing well, and how are you today?" For you to answer "I'm doing good." would be OK but it would imply that you are actually involved in the act of doing something "good", Example: feeding the poor, curing cancer, etc. Also since no-one is really "good" because we all do something bad at some time, (sin), we are not good. I answer "I'm blessed thank you, how are you?" If I feel just so so then I will answer"aight" short for "alright". I'd go with my first answer. It is easiest unless it's your doctor asking the question then be honest. * Often people ask this question out of formality and a simple answer could be 'I'm just fine and how are you.' This is a good way to strike up a conversation.

i would say the best response is the truth. if someone ask "how are you?" simply reply by saying how you are feeling at the moment then ask them the same!

The expected, socially accepted answer to a casual inquiry is " Fine, thanks. And how are you ? " .Most people REALLY don't want to be burdened with your real feelings. Save that for friends and family.
