If you have braids, first you need to be sure that it is time to take them down.
Getting braids can be painful and it also pulls your hair making your scalp sensitive and sore.
Keep your hair moisturized while the braids are in your hair so when it's time to take them down your hair nor scalp isn't dry.
Some people relax on the same day but after you take them down be sure that your scalp isn't irritated in any kind of way if so avoid a relaxer.
Continue to grease your scalp first and give it time to rest.
Wait a few days or so maybe 7 days at the latest.
However if you relax if after taking the braids down, make sure you condition often and cut any split ends. Shampoo often to keep your scalp clean.
Try to get your hair back as healthy as possible.
I would not recommend relaxing your hair with braids still in your head.
