Basically, evacuate, taking only the necessary food and water to reach a safe area. Windblown ash may require masks or dampened towels to breathe through. Avoid the most crowded paths out of the danger area, and seek information on the locations of lava or mud flows. Intervening high ground is often protection from pyroclastic clouds and avalanches.
well i tell you one thing is for sure, that you wouldn't be sittin on ur computer asking what to do!!!!!!You'd probly try to run somewhere.....just as an instinct. But if you could have a little private jet conveniently there, well, now that would probably be the best thing to do...........

Although volcanic eruptions are not common, yet should you be in an unfortunate position to witness one, follow your governments instructions and you will hopefully be saved. All active and dormant volcanoes are monitored by advanced institutions in the western world, and should there be an indication that one might erupt, then your government will immediately be notified by these honourable institutions. Most government's have an emergency plan should a volcano erupt.
During a volcano it's insisted that you keep a first aid kit at hand. Also you should have blankets and clothes. Listening to the radio/TV is important so you can know what's going on. I don't know what to do AFTER a volcano eruption though. It depends whether it got to the point of an emergency or not.
run away from the volcano and stay in a shelter far away.
stay in a compacted house or building and mae sure lava does not touch you
Leave.
