If you don't know what you're doing, then take it to a professional. It's a lot less expensive, and there is no chance that you might get hurt (freon is under a lot of pressure).
You can recharge your air conditioning system by putting Freon into the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on top of the air conditioning compressor.
You can still use only the heater if you want to but its best not to leave the a/c without freon and oil in the system..............
It might be overcharged. Or you might have contaminants in the system like air or acid.
IT IS REALLY BEST TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP THAT CAN "PUMP IT DOWN". ENEN THOUGH A CAN OF FREON HAS PRESSURE AND WILL GO INTO YOUR AIR SYSTEM, A SHOP CAN HOOK UP A PUMP THAT WILL SUCK ALLLL THE AIR OUT OF THE LINES CREATING A VACCUM. THIS HELPS TO GET MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FREON INTO THE SYSTEM WHITHOUT HAVING A POCKET OF AIR. PUMPING IT DOWN WILL ALSO HELP IN DIOGNOSING? IF THERE IS A LEAK. YOU WANT ALL LEAKS FIXED SO YOU DON'T LOOSE THE FEON YOU ARE JUST PUTTING INTO THE SYSTEM. AND MAY YOU HAVE MANY COLD DAYS OF A/C AHEAD.
There is no freon in a home sprinkler system.
Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.
It is probably getting low on freon. When the system has minor leaks and the freon pressure lowers the system begins to shut off the compressor which circulates the freon through the system to protect the compressor and other components from damage. Have the system recharged, or add freon on your own. You can now get freon from many parts stores.
Freon cooler is leaking from A/C system.
You can add Freon to your 1999 Chevy cooling system through the low pressure port. Connect your Freon bottle to the low pressure port and release the Freon into the system.
The type of freon for the 2002 Saturn l200 is R134a. The freon should only be added when the a/c system is not working properly because the system is sealed where freon should not be needed.
Freon is odorless. The oil in the refrigerant system does have a distinct aroma.Freon is odorless. The oil in the refrigerant system does have a distinct aroma.
connect a Freon gauge and Freon tank to the low side ac port. After starting the engine and putting ac on high, open the Freon valve. Watch the gauge until the Freon is full.
