It all depends what model of PC do you have most likely its a Dell try checking the back of the computer to see if it has some LED lights older DELL PC's have this there like 4 or 5 lights try to turn the computer on and check for what lights are on or off and look for the code online and it will tell you what you need to do.
check if you can tap on the F number to bring you to a menu where it gives you an option to reset or restore your PC to previous settings.
If you see pictures, then your computer screen is turned on.
If your computer's splash screen can be modified (turned off or on) this setting is going to be found in the BIOS. You will have to consult information for your specific manufactuer to see if the splash screen can be turned off or on. Most can be, a few cannot.

Right click on the desktop and go into properties. Check the setting on the screen size or screen resolution. These can be changed. Be careful what you are doing though, because you may need to change it back.
