I would tell someone right away. I know it is harder said than done, but i knew someone who tried to commit suicide because of this. If you tell someone, they will not think any less of you. They just want the best for you. I would tell a mom or someone who is easy to talk to. Just remember. People are there for you. I am here for you, your family is here for you, and God is here for you.
if you or someone you know has anorexia, they need to get medical help. all of us normal people, not doctors, are unable to help. it is not in our power to help them. an anorexic will look at herself as fat even if he/she is skinny. He/she will usually exercise a lot. People with any kind of disorder tend to overlook people reaching out to help them. they will feel unloved and not cared for. It is especially essential that all friends and family really try to reach out to help. Once in medical treatment, an anorexic might perceive that the doctors are trying to make him/her worse, but eventually will give in. Many people die of anorexia or bulimia, so if someone you know has either, they need medical help right away.
First off, understand what it is like in their shoes. I knew somebody that had become anorexic to the point of trying to commit suicide. They are (well in my case) just wanting to fit in, to look good I would go up to them and make sure they know that you care for them, and that you think they look good as they are. Make them feel like they have a friend. Eventually try get them to realize what they are doing is wrong, but always be there for them.Let them know that you are there and that God is there for them.
If you are trying to help a person with Anorexia it is VERY unhelpful to try and shove food in their face, talk to them and don't try to control them
Most of the time bulimia starts with anorexia, but then maybe they go to somewhere with a lot of food and they lose control and binge. To get rid of the calories they purge an then this becomes an addiction. Bulimia is much more common than anorexia because not all bulimics have anorexia, but most anorexics have bulimic tendencies.
Control oneself and one's own life.
