- You are in total control of your own life as far as whom you choose to date or even marry. You always have control! If you continue to stay in a relationship with someone who may verbally or physically abuse you or they have used your love and kindness this is not your fault, but that of the person and it is that person that has no self respect and not you! Whatever situation you are in you have the freedom to end that relationship and if it is ended already then pat yourself on the back and realize you are free from this person and that there is someone special out there for you that will love and treat you the way you should be treated. If you choose to stay with this person then you enable their behavior and you will lose more and more of your confidence in yourself and as you feel .... you self respect. Move on and dust yourself off; get up; get moving and get back out into life. Start seeing friends and having some fun and feel the power of you finally being in control of your own life!
