you mean smegma I would assume "Sphagnum" is a type of moss and you should definitely not have that under your foreskin.

Smegma on the other hand is a white waxy material that can collect under the foreskin of men or boys that don retract their foreskin and wash the glans and the area behind it on a regular basis. If you feel there is too much there I suggest you get your foreskin retracting easily and wash under there on a regular basis.

MalesSmegma can accumulate on a penis.

In males, smegma helps keep the glans moist and facilitates sexual intercourse by acting as a lubricant.

Smegma is produced from minute microscopic protrusions of the mucosal surface of the foreskin and that living cells constantly grow towards the surface, undergo fatty degeneration, separate off, and form smegma. Smegma contains 26.6% fats and 13.3% proteins, which is judged to be consistent with necrotic epithelial debris. Newly produced smegma has a smooth, moist texture. It is thought to be rich in squalene and contain prostatic and seminal secretions, desquamated epithelial cells, and the mucin content of the urethral glands of Littré. Some state that it contains anti-bacterial enzymes such as lysozyme and hormones such as androsterone.

Little smegma is produced during childhood, although the foreskin may contain sebaceous glands. Smegma increases from adolescence until sexual maturity when the function of smegma for lubrication assumes its full value, and from middle-age production starts to decline and in old age virtually no smegma is produced. Oster reported that the incidence of smegma increased from 1% among 6-7 and 8-9 year olds to 8% among 14-15 and 16-17 year olds (an overall incidence of 5%).

FemalesThe accumulation of sebum combined with dead skin cells forms smegma. Smegma clitoridis is defined as the secretion of the apocrine glands of the clitoris, in combination with desquamating epithelial cells. Glands that are located around the clitoris and the vulva majoris secrete sebum. Contaminated, and retained smegma (smegmaliths) usually disappear when the cause is removed.

What are the function of smegma?

smegma is whitish/yellowish epithelium cells + dead skin cells that form beneath the foreskin of the penis in most cases, smegma is considered a natural yet a disease with odor.. secreting too much smegma should checked out, however normal secretion of smegma is thought to help in sexual activity as it act as a lubricant, however this function is debatable.

What is the yellow stuff on your penis when you roll back your foreskin?

This is likely smegma, which is just the normal dead skin cells that fall of your body. Since your penis head is covered, these cells get trapped under the skin. By washing the head of your penis each day in the bath or shower you can prevent the accumulation of any smegma.

Why does my smegma smell like old milk?

Smegma is a fluid produced by the glans. The glans is located at the tip of the male copulation (penis). Smegma is smelly because it accumulate with bacteria (singular: bacterium) , sweat etc. . This is why foreskin is removed because of hygienic reasons because the penis will be easy to clean. The removal of foreskin is called "circumcision".

What is the function of prepuce in dogs?

The prepuce is a tubular sheet of skin which covers the free part of the penis. It is attached to the lower outside abdominal wall. The prepuce acts as a protective, moist covering for the dog's penis, because the prepuce is moist it can produce a thick, lubricating substance called smegma, smegma acts as an antibacterial substance therefore keeps the glans penis and the penis clean, it also acts as a lubricant. The prepuce only completely covers the penis when it isn't erect.

What is is smegma?

Generally, smegma is something most commonly associated with uncircumsized men that is a substance found under the foreskin. It is a white substance that varies from white and filmy to 'cheesy' and thick. Smegma has also been referred to as 'head cheese' or 'cheesy dick.' Smegma has an unpleasant odor, some have compared it to the smell of rotten fish. Smegma is nothing more than the build up of dead skin and secretions of the urethra and glans, as well as urine (and semen residue if the male is old enough and sexually active) deposits trapped under the foreskin. If anything it is a sign that the penis has not been washed... in a while. Smegma is the number one sign that an uncircumcised (uncut) male is not properly washing his penis. If the foreskin is not pulled back, exposing the head (glans) and washed with mild soap and warm water, the secretions will build up, trapped under the foreskin and resemble a thick cheese type appearance. If an uncircumcised man has good hygiene, bathes regularly and pulls back his foreskin and washes his penis properly smegma will not be present. Over the years smegma has been thought of as a 'constant' or 'standard' thing with all uncircumcised (uncut) males. That all men with foreskin have smegma. While this is not completely true, it's not completely false. A more accurate statement is that uncircumcised men are more likely to have smegma under their foreskin than men who are circumcised.

You notice a white discharge from a dogs penis and the vet said said it was Smegma nothing to worry about is this true?

It might be sperm. Just like ejaculating.

What is the prescription for smegma?

There is no prescription, it's a natural build up of sebum. You just need to wash yourself more often. If you think it maybe more than just smegma, i.e. if you're itching, painful, and there is a bad odor, it might be thrush. Thrush is a fungus. It can be sexually transmitted or caused by poor hygiene and wearing tight underwear or underwear made of unnatural fibers. You can get an over the counter cream for this. It's easy to fix. Or you could always go to a clinic/doctor and ask them for help/advice.

How do you have a healthier penis?

To reduce smegma or any other type of infection, you must make sure you always pull back the foreskin if you are not circumcised. If you are, that is thoroughly recommended. Shower gel can occasionally cause inflammation of the skin or scrotle zone. When taking part in masturbation, do not do it too often as it may produce or encourage smegma to form. Be vigilant, it's the only penis you've got.

How do you stop smegma?

Smegma is something that will always develop however if a man simply washes or even just rinses under the forskin with his reguar bath or shower He should never see any sign of it. this story about urine residue is a reduculous fabrication as an itact man naturaly holds back the forskin when he urinates, if he does not he ends up with a messy uncontrolable sprinkles that make s a mess. If he is unable to retract the foreskin then it is also no particular problem from the point of higiene as natre keeps the area under the unretracted forskin clean with smegma being a natural part of it.During a daily shower an uncircumsized man should pull back the foreskin and gently wash it with soap and warm water. During this process the foreskin should be pulled back as far as comfortably possible and should be soaped and rinsed completely to rid all dead skin cells and urine residue. After the shower it should be gently towel dried and recovered.
