Goldfih are fairly easy to care for so you'll just need to know the basics.
e.g. What they eat/ what not to feed and how much to feed them.
The correct size of tank to put it in. You'll need a bigger tank for more than one.
How to clean their tank and what disinfectant is safe for the fish.
and so on... you could always buy a care book for goldfish which are cheap, you can get them from most book stores and pet shops.
Put in some food and after about 5 minutes take out the food that hasn't been eaten otherwise it dirties the tank much quicker.
Gold fish will grow to the size of the tank they are put in. (It would grow much bigger if in a large tank.)
Fairy liquid is safe to use to clean out the tank but must be rinsed thouroughly!
If the tank has some stones in, just rinse them with warm water.
Always buy large stones to put into the bottom of the tank so the fish don't suck them into their mouths.
It is best to leave the clean new water 24 hours before putting into the tank.
It gives the water more oxygen.
