Buy an new one or take it to an airsoft shop or army navy.
Refurbished means it was taken back to the store or company and the company then fixes the problems and then re sells it.. So, in your case.. It was a repaired airsoft gun
No airsoft gun under $100 is going to last for more than a few games, so none are truly "good"
if you mean orange tip that it is a airsoft gun and that its not a real gun so you dont get shot by cops. if your talking about the bright colors on guns in the UK its the law unless you have a licence.

I have never seen a out of stock airsoft gun on amazon,but I would suspect it is because they are not a airsoft dealer,so they do not get large quanitys of them in
they shoot fairly fast, but they are not very realiable.

It's just decoration, on real guns the hammer is used for the powder to explode but airsoft BB's don't have any powder so the hammer is for making the gun more realistic.
I'm sure as long as you have your parents permission you should be able to purchase an airsoft gun or rifle. All airsoft rifles and guns require an orange tip on the barrel by law. So as long as you do not remove that you are okay.
You will find many decent airsoft pistols for ~$50 but nothing more. Don't buy an AEG under $140 or so.
