If you're going to a residential camp (meaning the kind you stay at overnight) what you should bring depends on how long you should be staying. Some good things to bring (besides the basics like toothbrush, sleeping bag, clothes, etc.)
* Pack extra underwear. It's easy to lose and you never know if you will get sick from the food (I did) or if you'll get wet. Wet underwear is really uncomfortable. * Bring some snacks that you will want to eat while you're there. * Bring a fan if you stay in cabins. They get really hot in the summer and you'll be sorry if you don't! * Bring some extra clothes * Bring some bottled water if you'll be walking around all day outside when it's hot. Other people will probably want some too. * Bring stuff to write home with. Your parents really appreciate and are extremely happy if you write to them. Don't worry about over-packing. It's better to over-pack than under-pack. Have a great time at camp!

Yes you have to take a few classes to know how to manage kids at a camp there are oer hundreds attending one.
Take clothing that is appropriate for the weather that you expect. Also, take personal toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap. Take anything else that you think you will need that the camp does not provide.
