It depends on the season and the city!
In the capital "Cairo" in the summer it's hot (up to 35oC) so you can wear a cotton non-sleeved top, short & sandals. In winter it's not so cold (down to 10oC) and doesn't rain a lot, so you can wear a pullover or a jacket, pants & boots.
in Upper-Egypt it's hotter in the summer, and colder in the winter.
