What to wear in prison?

Normal prisoners, or inmates, wear a orange or black & white striped jumpsuit, or whatever the prison clothing is. In some situations, a prisoner might be required to wear a mask to avoid the possibility of biting others and/or a straight jacket. In the event a prisoner is taken off grounds, they would most often be required to wear shackles and handcuffs.

A prison guard typically wears a uniform, easily distinguishable from that of the inmates, in order to be identified easily.

They usually consist of a buttoned shirt with the insignia of the State they serve, slacks, and hat/helmet, and gloves. The hat/helmet is sometimes standard, sometimes not. A lot of variables come into play depending on the security level of the prison.

Administrative/Supervisory staff usually wear similar uniforms, if any. Supervisors tend to wear uniforms similar to their staff, but with minor changes to show their Office.

Specialized units within the prison, such as Tactical units, generally wear riot gear - generally all black/orange.
