TRIBE
in L.A.
the Tongva tribe hunted animals like, buffalo, deer, small game, rabbits, and turkey.
Tongva people (also called Gabrieleño people or Fernandeño people) speak English and Spanish.Traditionally, they also spoke Tongva language, and Uto-Aztecan language, but that went extinct sometime after 1850. There is a revival plan for the language.
This is actually a good question. I just recently did a essay on the "Chumash" or the Tongva people. Yes, the Tongva people did eat meat. The villages were located along streams or lakes, so fish was plentiful. The Tongva men were very skilled hunters. Along with the fish, the villagers ate deer, rabbits, birds, and sometimes even bugs.
