They are under the rocker cover. You'll need to replace the rocker cover seal aswel if your replacing the glow plugs.
To change a Vauxhall Corsa timing change you need to first remove the rocker cover, the alternator tensioner, heat shield, water pump, engine mount, and crankshaft pulley. Now that you have found the timing change, unscrew the timing chain guides, remove old chain, and replace with new chain.
the corsa 1.3 cdti is chain driven hence no timing belt but they are prone to braking if they do a lot of short trips and you do need special tools to change it,they didn't make a 1.4dti on a 55 plate
Could be a broken lifter or something along those lines. Will need to pull valve cover and visually inspect.
Rocker cover gaskets need to be replaced.
dont try you need a lot of special tools and remove timing belt
Plugs are on either rocker cover....there are 3 ign coils on each rocker cover that need to be removed then remove the plugs You will need a 5/8 spark plug socket as well as a long extension to replace them 8mm socket holds the individual coils on
You need to remove the valve cover and check the bolts holding the rocker arm to the head. There are at least six bolts holding the rocker arm , and I dont think they would all come loose at the same time. After you remove the valve cover you may find that you have a loose or broken valve especially if you have a skip in the engine or a rattle or both.
i have a corsa b but if they are as hard to find as mine then they are in the middle of the engine to get to mine i lift the cover that says ecotec on it undo the 2 bolts that were under the cover and pull the bit i just undid out and there are my spark plugs but be careful because u might need a special tool to get them out as they are so far in a normal socket cant reach them i have a corsa c 2002 and the above response is correct. under the 'ecosystem' cover, 2 screws, pull out
there is a notch on the cambelt cover , you need to align the cam pulley mark to the cover and then on the crank shaft there is an arrow it must face the groove on the oil sump
They came on 87+up heads with the four hold down screws that go down through the middle of the rocker cover. You can eliminate the need for them by switching to hardened pushrods and guideplates.
I assume that the tappets have been adjusted and are still tapping. Then what you need to do is to remove the rocker cover you will then see the rocker shaft held down by four bolts, undo these bolts evenly so as not to distort the shaft, turn the rocker assembly over and you will no doubt find, that the pads, which press onto the valves are indented, you will need to reface the pads with an oil stone following the existing radius of the pad. After this thoroughly clean the rockers and shaft before refitting. Ensure that the rockers are lubricated and properly located onto the push rods thenre tighten the bolts progressively, readjust tappets, refit rocker cover.
