You need to remove the valve cover and check the bolts holding the rocker arm to the head. There are at least six bolts holding the rocker arm , and I dont think they would all come loose at the same time. After you remove the valve cover you may find that you have a loose or broken valve especially if you have a skip in the engine or a rattle or both.
