Kids up to probably 12 or so could still enjoy truck toys. Babies can play with truck toys and toddlers will also enjoy them. Make sure they don't eat them.

Dr. Who toys are safe for practically children of any age except for toddlers who may attempt to eat small plastic parts. Most Dr. Who toys are figurines or replicas of the iconic Dr. Who sonic screwdriver and should be appropriate for children of any age.
Pet rats like variety. Make them wooden toys to help it wear its teeth. Make sure the toys are of a material that it can not tear pieces off of and eat as this can make them sick(except for wood).
