Enlightenment philosophers basically wanted their individual freedom and also, Charles Montesquieu believed that the true freedom required laws, which means the philosophers basically wanted a government. By overthrowing the monarchs, and all of other things and such, government was created. what type of government, hm . A government who gives people a right to vote and such? who gives people freedom and who is isn't a monarch.
