Option 1: The E trainTake the E train (of the A-C-E, the blue line) to the end of the line, the World Trade Center Station.
This station is at the corner of Church and Barclay Streets. Walk 8 blocks north on Church Street (in the same direction as traffic) to Worth Street. Turn right onto Worth, and walk 1 block east on Worth Street to Broadway.
Option 2: The R trainTake the R train (of the N-R-Q, the yellow line) to City Hall (on Broadway, between Murray and Warren Streets).
Walk north on Broadway (in the opposite direction of traffic) to Worth Street.
Option 3: The N-R-Q lineTake the N, R, or Q to 59th Street-Lexington Avenue, and transfer there to the Downtown 4 or 5 express trains, 3 stops, to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.
Depending on which exit you use, you may exit the subway at the corner of Chambers and Centre Streets, at the northeast corner of City Hall Park, OR, you may exit at the next block up, at the corner of Reade and Centre Streets.

Option 4: The F trainTake the F train (of the B-D-F-M, the orange line) to Delancey-Essex Street. Transfer there to the Downtown J-Z(the brown line) to Chambers Street (at Centre Street).
This station is connected to the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station. So the walking directions are the same as from the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station. For walking directions from the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station, see Option 3.
Alternate F route: you can also take the F to 63rd Street-Lexington Avenue, and transfer to the Downtown 4 or 5 express trains at 59th Street-Lexington Avenue. These two stations are connected, but it's a 4-block walk underground, and the transfer is only free if you pay with a plastic Metrocard. If you use Single Ride tickets, you'll have to pay two separate fares.
However, it will shorten your trip a bit, since it's only 3 stops from 59th Street to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall on the 4and 5 express trains. The F is a local train, and it's 10 stops from 63rd-Lexington to Delancey-Essex (plus 3 stops on the J-Z to Chambers Street).

Option 5: The M trainTake the M train to Delancey-Essex Street. Transfer at Delancey-Essex to the Downtown J-Z to Chambers Street.

∙ 12y agoThe simplest route would be to take the Downtown 4 or 5 express trains (of the 4-5-6, the dark green line) from 42nd Street-Grand Central Station (between Park and Lexington Avenues) to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. There are actually several subway lines you can take, but I don't want to confuse you with too many options.
If you're coming from 42nd Street-Times Square (at 7th Avenue/Broadway), then you will first have to take the S shuttle train (color code grey) east across 42nd Street, from Times Square (West 42nd) to Grand Central Station (East 42nd).
At Grand Central, get on the Downtown 4 or 5express trains, 2 stops, to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.
Depending on which exit you use, you may exit the subway at the corner of Chambers and Centre Streets, at the northeast corner of City Hall Park, OR, you may exit at the next block up, at the corner of Reade and Centre Streets.

∙ 11y agoFederal Plaza in Manhattan is bordered by Broadway to the west, Federal Plaza to the east, Duane Street to the south, and Worth Street to the north. The front of the plaza faces Worth Street.
Walk east or west on Avenue B to Remsen Avenue. Turn south onto Remsen Avenue, and walk south on Remsen Avenue to Glenwood Road. The first block you'll reach after Avenue B is Ditmas Avenue. If you walk 1 block on Remsen Avenue and end up on Avenue A, then you're going the wrong way.
When you get to Glenwood Road, turn left, and walk east on Glenwood Road to Rockaway Parkway and the end of the line on the L train, Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway (at Glenwood Road).
Take the L train from Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway to 14th Street-Union Square in Manhattan.

If so, then, yes, you can take the R train from Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street to Queens Plaza, except from 11 PM to 5:30 AM, when there's no service. From 11 PM to 5:30 AM, I guess you could take the N train (on the same line, the N-R-Q-W, the yellow line) from Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street to Queensboro Plaza (which is a different station a few blocks northwest of the Queens Plaza station) and walk the rest of the way.
