China held the record for having the fastest commercial bullet train with a train going 350 km/h (217 mph) till July 1, 2011. Due to safety concerns and cost the max speed of a bullet train in China is only 300km/h now. China also, has the largest network of bullet train rails. Bullet trains usage is growing and new countries are getting them putting in.
