My first suggestion (as usual) is to check your owners manual. It will give you the specification specific to your car/transmission combination. Answering your question as asked is very difficult since we don't know whether you have a manual or automatic transmission and if automatic which one, four or six cylinder engine. The following is the service manual spec for your year (some later models may be different)
Automatic Trans The 5S-FE requires 2.6 quarts of Dexron III
The 2AZ-FE requires 4.1 quarts of T-IV (Toyota fluid)
The 1MZ-FI requires 5 quarts of Dexron III
The 2MZ-FE requires 3.7 quarts of T-IV Manual Trans All for 1999-2001 require 2.3 quarts of API GL-5 75W-90
Later years require the same fluid but different amounts. Cheers,

It comes in handy knowing the amount of transmission fluid a car will hold. The 1999 Toyota Solara will need 5 quarts of Dexron III fluid.
no
How much transmission fluid does a 2001 ford Taurus need
under your hood, not too far from where you check your oil dipstick, there is an orange handle with a cylindrical base. this is the dipstick for your transmission fluid. check it as you check the oil dipstick. it has the levels printed on it. if you need to add more pour it in through the dipstick hole with a funnel. however, if you do need more be sure to check for leaks as there should rarely be a reason to add more unless you are completely changing your transmission fluid.
About 5 quarts
You remove the transmission dip stick. You will need a small funnel that will fit in the tube where the stick goes in at to check fluid level in transmission. Put fluid in there.
the automatic transmission don't need the fluid to be changed never if you change the fluid with a new one you going to lost your transmission
Need to know make and model of vehicle in order to answer this.
Any DEXRON-III synthetic transmission fluid. Some brands seem to work better than others.
Look for a transmission hose line on the radiator, you can unplug it, run the engine and pour new transmission into where the tranny dipstick is at the same time it drains from the hose. Get ready, you'll need about 10 litres of the right automatic transmission fluid type too. check the tranny dipstick to see what kind of atf fluid it needs.
You add transmission fluid through the same tube where the transmission dipstick is located. You need a funnel used for transmission oil. The funnel is long, narrow and the end can fit into the dipstick tube.
