2003 izuzu anscender 6 cylinder
The best way to confirm the type of transmission fluid to use in a 1989 Isuzu pick up is to refer to the owner manual. A retailer who sells the transmission fluid will be able to advise the correct purchase.
This depends on the year of the truck - Pull out the transmission dip stick clean it and it will tell you. Dexron works for Isuzu NPR models up to early 2007.But PLEASE NOTE that for late 2007 and up, NQR and NPR Imported Trucks come with a new type of automatic transmission that requires an inexpensive silicone-based transmission fluid. It is a must that you use a silicone-based fluid such as Isuzu SCS Automatic Transmission Fluid -- Isuzu part # 2-90531-200-0. If you don't use the proper fluid, it will burn up your transmission in a matter of a day. You cannot use regular automatic transmission fluid or a petroleum based fluid like Dexron in the NQR or NPR trucks built after late 2007.This fluid is not expensive at all, it costs about the same as Dexron.
Use standard automatic transmission fluid mercon III

What type of transmission fluid i can use in my Isuzu nQr 2017 instead of SCS ?
I own a 1998(automatic) 3.2L V6 4x4 Rodeo, and I follow the service manual which says to use DEXRON II auto transmission fluid.
on the 5 speed manuel theres a plug on the side of the transmission, remove the plug and use a syphon pump to add fluid until it starts to pour out the hole. to remove the existing fluid remove the plug from the bottom of the transmission.
5w-30 is the only thing you can use in an Isuzu manual transmission. The way it is designed, if you use 80-90w gear oil, it will burn up the top half of the tranny and the same for the transfer case :)
there is a drain plug and a fill plug on the underside of the transmission. you need to use the fill plug. You can not fill the transmission fluid or check the level, any other way.(it is a ridiculous design, i know.....) go to autozone.com look under Isuzu repair info, then choose the year and choose "trooper".then look under "fluids" the info will be there.
Automatic trans fluid has three basic types: Mercon for older Fords, "Dexron plus three" for Chrysler and plain Dexron for everything else. You need ordinary Dexron Automatic Transmission fluid
40wt transmission fluid 40wt transmission fluid
You can use any SAE certified manual transmission fluid in your 1996 Ford manual transmission. Make sure you use manual transmission fluid and not automatic transmission fluid.
