Not very likely, as there is no such thing as a 2005 Pontiac Trans Am.

No, the tranny has to be out of a olds, Pontiac, or Buick to bolt up to a Pontiac engine.

In 2002, a total of 2,340 units of the Pontiac Trans Am with a standard transmission were produced. This model year was part of the final production run of the Trans Am before it was discontinued. The standard transmission option was less common compared to automatic transmissions, contributing to its rarity among collectors.
the side of your transmission.. and its not a sensor its a gear.
Pontiac does not make a transmission dipstick, unless the newer ones have them. Actually, the early models did. My '96 had one. Later models did not. The trans fluid is checked via a plug in the side of the trans-axle.
To remove the transmission from a 1997 Pontiac Trans Sport, first, disconnect the battery and drain the transmission fluid. Next, remove the exhaust pipes, drive shaft, and any electrical connectors attached to the transmission. Support the transmission with a jack, unbolt it from the engine, and detach the transmission mounts. Finally, carefully slide the transmission out of the vehicle.
It is inside the side cover of the transmission. I have seen this with the trans still in the car but it would have been easier to take the transmission out to repair it.
If an automatic transmission ,broken bands in the tranny.
