# Step 1 Identify the spider and the bite. If you notice that there appears to be a hole forming in your skin with some redness and swelling, there is a good chance you have been bit by a spider. Try to identify the spider if you can. Wash the wound with warm soap and water. # Step 2 Spider bites primarily contain acid and insect toxins are acidic. And what is the best way to neutralize an acid? Do you remember your basic chemistry class? When faced with acid spills it was always important to have an alkaline base like Baking Soda, on hand. Make a paste with the baking soda. In a glass mix about a tablespoon of baking soda with just enough water to form a paste. # Step 3 Apply the baking soda paste to the wound. If you have the time, allow the paste to dry, it will absorb toxins from the wound as well. When it dries, brush off the baking soda and reapply some more. Repeat three or more times. If you don't have time, cover the paste with loose gauze and secure with athletic tape. Continue the baking soda therapy for as many days as necessary. I have cured spider bites within days with this treatment. # # Bibliography # http://www.ehow.com/how_4748858_heal-spider-bite.html

No spider bite should be ignored. The antidote for severe widow spider bites is a substance called antivenin, which contains antibodies taken from the blood serum of horses injected with spider venom. Doctors exercise caution.

firstly, you need to act quickly as the poison from the spider will eventully get into your blood and cause an infection/posion your blood which is called celulitis.

To prevent this from happening you need to get an ice packet or frozens peas and wrap them in a tea towl and place it on the bite so it will stop it from being inflamed.

Then take an antichectimine, this will prevent an ilergic reaction. And will eventully stop the posion from spreading

But if this does not work and gets any bigger, visit your GP and ask for antibiotix if you have an infection.

Treatment varies depending on the type of spider which has bitten the person. Seek immediate medical attention if bitten by a brown recluse or black widow spider. Bites from other types of spider can be treated with a cold compress.

If you have a spider bite and are having difficulty breathing you should call the emergency services immediately. Otherwise, the area should be washed with cool soapy water and a cold compress should be applied. After that the wound should be elevated. If necessary call the poisons centre for advice.

To treat a spider bite, one should clean the bite and treat it with ice immediately. For mild bites, medicine such as antibiotics and Antivenin may be necessary. If the bite is from a Black Widow spider, Brown Recluse spider, or other poisonous Spiders, medical attention and hospitalization may be necessary.

There isn't really any point in taking antibiotics for a spider bite. Antibiotics are designed to kill microorganisms, and spider bites are generally fairly "clean". They can become infected, but it's not common.

Many "spider bites" are not actually spider bites but small abcesses caused by infection, and in these cases antibiotics may help, but there really isn't a single antibiotic that's recommended in all cases (and you can't get the good ones without a prescription anyway, so just use whatever your doctor tells you).

It is best to treat for shock by making a person comfortable, and starting an IV infusion if available. In most cases, spider parts are non-lethal and can safely be handled outside of a hospital.
