Traditionally windmills have been used to grind grain for flour. In some places they pump water, for instance to drain low lying land, which is why the Netherlands became famous for windmills.
Russia and China
There are two traditional Dutch style windmills located in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. They were originally built in 1902 and 1905 and are 75 and 95 feet high, respectively. They can be viewed, but are in need of restoration. There are also many other windmills located in California, but are for the most part conventional and are used to generate electrical energy from wind.
China & South Korea
We live in a world inhabited by approximately seven billion people. If there were only one or two people in the world, doubtlessly they would not need more than one or two windmills.
The two countries are Brazil and italy.
Most modern windmills have three blades, as this design balances efficiency, stability, and cost-effectiveness. Some older or smaller windmills may have fewer blades, usually two. Ultimately, the number of blades can vary depending on the specific design and purpose of the windmill.
