Both Han and Tang were the golden age for China. Han unified China and brought about 300years of relative peace, especially after overcoming the barbarians in the north. Tang had one of the greatest empire for China in terms of geographical spread and enjoyed about another 300 years of peace when arts and culture reached its zenith.
