What factors would limit photosynthesis and growth of a plant in the forest floor?

Sunlight and moisture

Do plants need healthy leaves to grow?

yes. it is important for a plant to have healthy leaves forits growth. plants absorb sunlight through stomata which is situated on the underside of the leaves! so if the leaves are not healthy enough to absorb sunlight then photosynthesis will not take place and because of no photosynthesis the plant wont get the vital elements for its growth and the plant might die!

Why do plants need a healthy root system to photosynthesis?

Roots gives main physical support to aerial system of plants. Roots absorbs water and minerals from ground for the main photosynthesis activity of the plant. Some plants the roots stores the energy for the plant , generated during photosynthesis like tubers.

What is the relationship between photosynthesis and growth?

Photosynthesis has a lot to do with the growth of the plant. This is because photosynthesis produces glucose which the plant uses as food.

What factors can affect the rate of photosynthesis in a plant?

There are several factors.Temperature,CO2 concentration,H2O amound,light etc

How does the placement of veins help to carry out their function of transporting materials to and from the leaf?

The placement of the veins in a leaf can limit the effects of photosynthesis and transport water through the leaf and plant body. The location of the veins and the shape of the leaf are two of the factors used to determine the species of the plant.

When you see a healthy green plant in the sun what is the plant probably involved in?

it is currently involved in photosynthesis. Sun light is a important part of this process.

With out sunlight photosynthesis cannot occur how would this affect plant size?

without it, it would not be a healthy one than it was.

Why would a green plant kept in the dark for a long period of time not be able to effectively carry out photosynthesis?

Sunlight is one of the other factors of Photosynthesis. If a factor is missing then the process of photosynthesis won't take place. (The other factors are water, Carbon dioxide)

What is a plant that does not use its leaves for photosynthesis?

No plant does not photosynthesis

What are some important healthy to growing a plant?

well... a plant must have water sunlight, its own sugar, and plenty of oxygen. if it doesn't, it cant go through photosynthesis. without that, the plant does not have food it will die.
