The first known disaster to greatly affect Japan was the Shinchira Earthquake of 1129 a.d. In the upper regions of the Chiba prefecture, the massive quake struck instantly killing tens of thousands of residents and burying thousands more. Total, over 150 thousand bodies were pulled from the rubble including the Emperor of Japan: Hiramori Mohiyama and his family. Because of his death, rival factions battled each other for supreme power of the land and Japan was thrown into civil war that lasted 12 years. Nigawa Tashiobi emerged as the next Emperor after the war had ended. Thus began his 25 year reign of tyranny and extreme corruption which caused mass poverty. Disease and crime rose to alarming rates as the Emperor raised taxes to extreme levels. Because of this, Japan went from being an emerging world power to a broken and poor nation.
The second geological event to be noted is the eruption of Mt. Fuji in 1886. Tokyo was burned to the ground and buried with volcanic ash. All farmlands within a 250 mile radius (which contributed to 53% of all rice grown) were poisoned by the phosphorous minerals carried by the ash. Food soon became scarce, prices skyrocketed because of the shortage, livestock died from the poisoned soil, and taxed imported goods caused the citizens of Japan to nearly all starve to death. China quickly took advantage of this crippling disaster and invaded Japan. The two nations fought on-and-off for decades. This war would not end until 1945 when Japan finally surrendered to the Allies.
Earthquakes and Tsunamis. And Tornados and Hurricanes.
i think its hurricane and tornado

Geologic Time. It's called the Geologic Time Scale.
I believe the history of the creation of the earth is one.
A geologic time scale is a scale that was developed by scientists to show when and for how long different events happened in the Earth's history. Some events included on the scale are when plant life appeared, when mountains were formed and when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The geologic time scale divides Earth's history into periods such as the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods.
This odd-sounding dictum is a summary of Scottish geologist Charles Lyell's idea of uniformatarianism, the idea that geologic processes that are currently occurring are the same processes that occurred in the past. In short, the historical and observable geologic events that are occurring are the 'key' to unlocking the history of the geologic events that have occurred and were recorded in the rock record.
Relative dating is the process that places geologic events in the proper sequence.
There are similar events throughout history. But few have been recorded first hand by an observer as astute and eloquent as Anne Frank.
