The people on the Mayflower were Pilgrims and strangers.
On the Mayflower, the 102 passengers were divided into two groups, the pilgrims and the strangers (everyone besides the pilgrims). The strangers were the majority group.
The two groups of people the word "Pilgrim" could apply to are the Quakers and the Puritans. The Quakers and the Puritans both came to the New World so that they could practice their own religious beliefs without being persecuted.
Not a single woman died on the mayflower. It would have been a man that died on the mayflower, actually i believe it is two men.

There is no documented evidence that two dogs died on the Mayflower during its journey to America. The only known pet aboard the Mayflower was a dog named "Butten," belonging to William Butten, a servant of Samuel Fuller. However, there is no mention of Butten's fate or any other dogs on the ship perishing during the journey.
There was actually three boats that the Pilgrims used to come to America. The three boats were the Pinta, Santa Maria, and most importantly, the Mayflower. Most of the Pilgrims rode on the Mayflower because she was the largest.
