No. Under law, he can only be "arrested" if he has committed treason, a felony, or a breach of the peace. For any other crime, he can only be arrested when he returns home from a session. As long as he stays in the Congressional chambers, he cannot be removed. Once Congress adjourns, he can be arrested and prosecuted on any charge.

Actually, they can be arrested but only for treason, commission of a felony, or for breaching the peace. (U.S. Const. Art. I. § 6). The reason for protecting them from arrest for misdemeanors and some other minor crimes was to prevent the abuse of power by those who currently control the government (particularly, the executive branch) by arresting members of the legislative branch and preventing them from passing disfavored legislation or conducting government business in session.
