Hymenaeus & Philetus (2 Timothy 2:17)
men erred in the scriptures
Read the book of "Acts" in The Bible
It is a book made by men, but with the inspiration of GOD. It is better than other Hindu scriptures that is just a myth, with all fake stories in it.
The group of people that examined the scriptures to verify the accuracy of Paul's teaching were the Bereans. They are mentioned in the New Testament in the Book of Acts (Acts 17:11). The Bereans were commended for their open-mindedness and diligence in studying the scriptures to confirm the teachings they received.
If one wants to benefit from the Bible he has to consider the whole Bible. Reading the entire Holy Scriptures is the best thing.
The book of Acts identifies the acts of the Apostles of Christ. Its an excellent work which contains some of the most profound truths related to mankind. For instance; you will discover from Paul in chapter 17 and again in Colossians 2, a doctrine that has affected all mankind to this point - philosophy of men vis-à-vis 'the Unknown God' (as a storm worn smooth over time)...

Rom:15:4: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Mk:7:9: And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition Mt:15:9: But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 2Tm:3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Acts:17:11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts:17:2: And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Acts:18:28: For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. Rom:1:2: (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
so he could enter the temple without the Jews causing problems for him
The scriptures were written by men, not God. God is mentioned frequently in the scriptures, but it is a matter of faith that these are historical references.Answer:Scriptures were given to men by God to let us know how much God cares for / loves us.They were written by men, but in some cases God wrote them "The Ten Commandments", some were told to a man directly by God, as was done with Moses, where the last were inspired by God.Yes. I agree, it is all about faith.
In the book of Acts it is said Paul went on his third missionary journey along with his companion who were his co workers they were young men called Silas and Barnabas.
