I think we can't really know the answer to this. The Bible tells us about the missionary activities of Peter also Paul and some of his co workers but we don't know what other disciples were doing.
Another Answer:
St Peter and Paul the Apostle
We are not told in the Bible about the ministries of most of the Apostles/disciples of Jesus after His crucifixion with the exception of Peter and John, which played a very large part in spreading Christianity. A few years later after the crucifixion the Apostle Paul comes upon the scene and also played a large part in Christianity.
Hundreds spread the word- it is hard to choose two that may have done most spreading, but Peter and Paul are my picks, but I would not argue if you think of other names.
John and Paul
Jesus Christ the savior started Christianity with his life, his cruxifiction, his death, his conquering, and his resurrection. The Apostles and Disciples and Missionaries keep seeking to help people receive salvation and get connected to God.
The two major event which demonstrates Christianity was the birth of Jesus Christ. It was after Jesus departure that the name Christianity came about, meaning behaving like Christ. Also the anointing of the Disciples to Continue the work of spreading the gospel.

Christianity is the worship of Jesus Christ. Development of Christianity would have started with the disciples when they become aware and believed that Jesus was the Son of God.
Primarily it was the 12 Apostles of Jesus and other disciples who help these.
Peter, one of Jesus' disciples
Yes, both Peter and Paul were important figures in early Christianity, but they were not among Jesus' original 12 disciples. Peter, also known as Simon Peter, was a close follower of Jesus and played a significant role in the early church. Paul, formerly known as Saul, was a Pharisee who converted to Christianity and became a prominent apostle, spreading the teachings of Jesus to the Gentiles.
Jesus was not buried. He was covered in bandages with spices and laid in a stone tomb. He then came back from the dead and told his disciples to continue to spread the word of God and to get more people to seek for God. He proved the disciples that it was Jesus Christ (Jesus of Nazareth) by showing them the piercing in his hands and feet by the cruxifiction.
Jesus sent out his disciples to set up Christian churches, so I suppose Jesus started Christianity.
Either Jesus or the disciples
Theygave up everthing even families to follow Jesus and listen as well spread his teachings.
Jesus did not spread Christianity , but the apostles and Paul spread it over the world.
