PRoteins are made in cytoplasm by ribosomes. mRNA which code the message is transported out of nucleus. the triplet codon of mRNA interact with tRNA anticodons to form peptide bonds by peptidyl synthetase in ribosome.

The highly complexly constructed ribosomes on the rough endoplasmic reticulum build a cell's proteins. After messenger RNA (mRNA) is transcribed in the nucleus, it passes through the nuclear pores and is translated at the ribosomes of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The ribosomes converts mRna with tRna into amino acids and thus, proteins. The ribosomes are made of two subunits (which are in turn made of rRNA and proteins); these tiny structures clamp onto mRNA coming out of the nucleus and translate it into a strand of amino acids. The amino acids either fold correctly by themselves, or are shipped elsewhere for further processing. The proteins may be modified or shipped to their final destination by the golgi apparatus. In other words, the synthesis of a fully functional protein is not necessarily completed by the rough endoplasmic reticulum and its ribosomes. There are also free ribosomes in the cytoplasm that make cellular proteins.
