A single computer can be both a web server and a email server at the same time because the two services run on different ports. Note: A single server machine you can configure both service. configuration mathode same. do not use big network. because server speed depend upon how many services you configured.
Internal email is electronic mail that only uses a company's internal mail servers. External email makes use of two or more mail servers as the mail is routed, the originating server and the destination server.
Email or another message programme that the two computers share on the same server
If a person suspects that their email server might be down, there is an easy way to check and see if it is the site or just an individual computer problem. Attempting to log on to the email site from one or two other computers will confirm if the problem is with the email server or not.
You see, there are Protocols called HTTP and POP.HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocolwhile,POP stands for Post Office Protocol. These two sets of Rules enable server to identify that who sent the Email to whom. HTTP is responsible to maintain the format of the Email, while POP helps serverto identify which computers users' email is itIs he online checking the emailhas HTTP contacted server a possible interaction from user requesting email access
1.) For sending email you would use SMTP. For receiving mail you would use POP.
SMTP and POP are two of the three methods for handling email. POP stands for Post Office Protocol and allows you to download email from a server, and SMTP which stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, allows you to send email.
There is no correlation between the two. A server can have an IP address without having any form of email system on it, and a server with an email system can have more than one account, and more than one domain name assigned to its IP address. If you want to get the IP address from an email, you can use the free email header tracer to obtain its IP address from the email.
To make a server a domain controller, you typically follow two main steps: first, install the Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) role on the server using the Server Manager or PowerShell. Next, promote the server to a domain controller by running the Active Directory Domain Services Configuration Wizard, where you'll specify whether to create a new domain in a new forest or add it to an existing domain.
An email address has two components separated by "@" symbol 1) USERNAME : O the left side of '@' separator is the Username . A username can not have blanks 2) DOMAIN NAME FOR HOST SERVER: The portion to the right of @ identifies server or host name or network that services your email. It is sometimes also called the email server. Example ; Pacers@hotmail.com Pacers is the username hotmail.com is the Domain Name for the Host Server
IM (Instant Messaging) is an online chat capability between two known parties who are both logged in to the IM facility and send real time messages to each other. There are multiple IM programs and protocols that are not compatible with each other although some IM programs have extensions that allow communicating with other protocols. There are some IM standard protocols but none are universally excepted. Email has been around much longer than IM and there is a single standard email protocol (SMTP -Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) that is used for routing mail messages between mail servers. Mail servers are machines and software that receive your email, locate the destination server and route the message to it. If the server is not available for some reason, mail will be held for a while (maybe a few days) until the server is available. Once it arrives at the destination server it will be held until retrieved by your computer email program. The mail servers are not the program used on your computer for email. Email is sent and received with an email program such as Microsoft mail (or outlook or live mail), Mozilla Thunderbird, Pegasus Mail, Eudora, Opera mail or a web based mail programs such as gmail, yahoo Mail, Aol, Mail, etc. The stand alone mail programs will usually use SMTP to send an email to a mail server and can use either POP3, or IMAP (or MAPI) to retrieve emails from a mail server. There are many email programs and they can all send and receive emails from each other because they all follow the standard email protocols. Email is not done real time, although it looks like email messages arrive at their destination almost immediately, and you do not need to be running an email program (or have the computer turned on) for an email to be sent and received. The email is stored at the email server until retrieved by your email program and depending on how you retrieve the email message it may be kept there until you intentionally delete it.
