Mitosis and Cytokinesis
The nucleus
DNA replication takes place in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and in the cytoplasm of prokaryotic cells. Transcription takes place in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells, where DNA is transcribed into messenger RNA (mRNA) before it is translated into proteins.
Nucleus.
The daughter cells produced are genetcally identical. A mitosis divides cells, which still contains the same number on chromosomes. In mitosis DNA is replicated once, and the nucleus divides once. In meiosis DNA is replicated once, but the nucleus is divided twice.
Most of a cell's life processes occur in the cytoplasm, where metabolic reactions take place. The nucleus controls cellular activities by directing protein synthesis. Mitochondria are where cellular respiration occurs, generating energy for the cell.
The cell nucleus contains most of the cell's DNA. It is where the genetic material is organized into chromosomes and where most of the cell's DNA replication and transcription processes occur.
Two successive nuclear divisions occur, Meiosis I (Reduction) and Meiosis II (Division)
Most cellular life processes occur in the cytoplasm of a cell. This includes protein synthesis, energy production, and various other metabolic reactions necessary for the cell's survival. The cytoplasm serves as the medium where these processes take place.
Spontaneous nuclear fission processes occur when the nucleus of an atom undergoes a process where it splits into two or more smaller nuclei. This process releases a large amount of energy along with neutrons and is typically associated with heavy isotopes like uranium or plutonium. The fission process is initiated by the absorption of a neutron by the nucleus, leading to instability and eventual splitting.

Yes, eukaryotes have membrane-bound organelles that perform specific functions within the cell, such as the nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and chloroplasts (in plant cells). These organelles help compartmentalize cellular processes and provide distinct environments for various biochemical reactions to occur.
DNA replication and transcription occur in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. In prokaryotic cells, replication and transcription occur in the cytoplasm.
