All professions make money in WoW, especially the gathering professions. BS/Mining do make money but it takes a long time to grind them. And BSing takes awhile to start making a good profit. If you just need gold then I suggest two gathering professions, then you can drop on and level up BSing later, or just selling the ores you get. The ores sell for alot, because of people that power grind BSing and/or Jewel-crafting.
