The moon has three major motions, and probably a few other subtle ones as well. The moon orbits the earth in an elliptical orbit. It joins its partner the earth in earth's elliptical orbit around the sun. And it rotates on its axis once per lunar cycle, since it is gravitationally locked with the earth.

The moon rotates around its axis (rotation) and around the earth (revolution) but there are two more movements for moon , along with earth it revolves around the sun and along with earth and sun it revolves around galactic center (black hole).

The moon tips toward the right side if one looks at it and it is coming from the east. You will notice the tiping by daily observation. Until the northern part almost lines up with to southern area. You may call it a slow wable. All along the moon keeps the same face looking to the sun. It is like turning a quarter dollar with the Face down. The moons cycle straitens out as it turns around the earh, this is the second movement.

"Oh dear" (as we sometimes say in England).

Because it's Christmas I won't try to "improve" that previous answer.

The obvious answer is that the Moon revolves around the Earth and the Moon also rotates on its axis in exactly the same period of time.

The Moon and Earth also revolve around the Sun together.

So that's 3 ways the Moon moves.

The moon revolves around the earth, once every 28 days.

But the moon also spins around it's axis once every 28 days, so it keeps the same face toward the earth at all times.

There is a third motion as the moon bobs up and down along it's tilted orbit, appearing higher in the sky some months than others.

1.- traslation: The moon is orbiting the earth

2. rotation : It is also rotating around its own axis.

The curious (but also explainable) thing is, that both movements take the same time to complete a cicle; That's why the SAME face of the moon is ALWAYS pointing to the earth

The answer you are looking for is either gravity and inertia or around the earth and around the sun.

It orbits the Earth (more or less), it rotates on its own axis, and it precesses. I'm not sure if that's what you meant or not.

What are 2 different ways the moon moves?

one way the moon moves is around the earth. it takes 29 days .the sun looks small when your far and the stars are small too but,it is big .and there different types of moon like the full moon , crescent, half moon ,and fainlly the new moon .there are four moons in all .there's always a clcye .the clcye goes over and over

Why doesn't the moon fly into space?

Because even though the moon is actually slowly being pushed out into space, as it moves further away this slows the Earth's rotation and eventually it will pull the moon back in due to less friction by the moon on tides, as the planet speeds up again the moon will be pushed back out meaning it doesn't fly off into space because if it goes to far the Earth just pulls it back again.

What are three different ways that the earth moves?

The earth turns on its axis; it orbits around the earth-moon barycenter; it orbits around the sun.

What effect of the moons motion on earth is shown?

The phases of the moon are the different ways the moon looks during the month. As the Moon moves in space, different parts of it face the Sun. This means that different parts of it are lit up. We only see one side of the moon from the Earth because it rotates so that one side is always facing us. The moon phase takes between 29 and 30 days. The phases of the moon appears to be a circular disk, which is illuminated to some degree by direct sunlight.Tides are caused by the gravity of the Moon.

How moon moves?

It moves by the gravitational pull on the Earth's atmosphere.

How do the moon earth and sun moves?

Earth moves because the of sun's gravitation pull. Same applies to the Moon.
