micro DIMMs
Some examples of Random Access Memory (RAM) include: DDR4: A type of RAM commonly used in desktop computers and high-performance laptops. SDRAM: Synchronous Dynamic RAM, a type of RAM used in older computer systems. LPDDR4: Low-Power DDR4, a type of RAM commonly used in mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. SRAM: Static RAM, faster and more expensive than dynamic RAM, often used in cache memory and embedded systems. DDR3: Another type of RAM commonly used in older desktop computers and laptops.

SRAM or Static RAM is the fastest, and most expensive type of RAM available in computers. it is used in the L1, L2, L3, and L4 cache on your processor and chip-set (or however many L-caches your system has). it is the fastest type of RAM because it does not have to be refreshed as frequently as DRAM.
The smallest type of RAM would be SD - RAM which is used in laptops and the amount of RAM each card can have will be anywhere around 512 Mb up to 2 GB.
DDR2 RAM is not the standard anymore. Until about 2007-2008 it was very commonly used. Today DDR3 is the standard RAM. Though DDR4 is in the works and will debut sometime soon.
ROM (Read-only memory) is storage used in the older computers. It can not be modified or changed in any way. It is mainly used to distribute firmware. RAM (Random-access memory) is a form of storage data, which most modern computers use. RAM can be bought in strips and slot into computers circuit boards.
In computers, RAM is used for temporary storage. PDAs, however, use RAM as their main storage. 99% of the apps you install are saved to RAM.
The type of RAM that is used in laptops would be the smallest RAM which would be SD-RAM.
The definition of PC2700 is a type of RAM memory chip that has been used in computers for a while. 512MB is the amount of memory that can be found in the computer.
The main limitation the first home computers had was the same as the first mainframe computers had: not enough main memory (RAM) and not enough external storage.
Dell RAM is build to industry-wide specifications, so that if your other computer will accept the same type as your Dell, they should be interchangable. There are many kinds of RAM though, so ensure that both computers do indeed accept the same type before proceeding.
That would be virtual memory. Its when your the excess data is stored on your harddrive. A section of your harddrive is reserved for this purpose. Though virtual memory isn't as fast as normal RAM.
