In my opinion, the "fanbrush" is the most versitile,you can blend with it, there is usally a couple of sizes to choose from, a small and a large, you'll have more control with a small.This brush will make wave's, tree's waterfall's, cloud's,mountain's, rolling hills grass,palm's, stone's, pretty much anything that has to do with nature,and you can paint whole paintings with this brush alone.
A good quality china brush/ no pun intended these brushes are made of fine nylon strands though a little expensive they give great results and will last for years if clean correctly after each use.
