Camembert is a town in Normandie, France. It's famous as being the original site where a soft, creamy cheese was first made many years ago. This cheese, made from un-pasteurised cows milk, is now world famous.
It is a very historical region of France, known for its ancient cathedrals, monuments and churches, some of which date back to the 1200s. The city of Rouen is also known as the place where Joan of Arc was executed in 1431.
