Call around and see who sells a puppy food made with real meat(meat should be listed first).Don`t buy a puppy food that has corn wheat soy or meat by-products,these are all fillers and the puppy will want to eat more.The better the food the less the puppy will want to eat.
Edit- We have a king charles/ bision frese and he has bakers complete puppy food mixed with chicken. And it is fine. I think it doesn't matter, just the quantly if it's a big dog.
