There are no special foods meant for followers of Jainism. They can eat grains, vegetables, fruits, pulses, etc. However, there are certain limitations for them (like not to eat kandmuls or root-vegetables, green leafy vegetables at the time of Paryushana parva, etc.) The food that is to be taken should be shuddh (pure) and should not cause much violence in any form. Eating at night time is also prohibited in Jainism. Jains must also consume a strict vegetarian diet.
