The recommended type of coolant for a 2006 BMW 530d is Glysantin G48. You can use other coolants in an emergency, but don't leave them in your car long term.
Depends on the year. 1994 and older would use R12 while models from late 1994 till present will use R134a. If you have a German Spec BMW chances are it wont have Air conditioning at all unless it is a newer model. Its best to ask your mechanic to check it out for you because using the wrong type of freon can damage your entire A/C system. Hope this helps
