∙ 12y agoDo you mean, how do you paint the upper reaches of a stairwell? Stairwells can be tricky because they are usually extremely high. I use a 28' extension ladder but that alone does not give access to the entire stairwell. . As you have probably found, the wall directly opposite the stairs appears impossible to reach. I have had to improvise and span something between two ladders, but that is not a safe way to do it. Your best bet is to rent two tears of scaffolding which will get you to the height you need. If you use the scaffolding you wont even need the ladder as it will allow you to paint the entire stairwell perched comfortably upon the scaffolding.
